Peony Study Print $20 / Seascape Print $20 / Signet Ring $108
I have been guilty of emotional shopping. That sounds like I’m introducing myself at a support group, but it really can be a problem! When you buy items just because you’re bored or they are on sale, it’s likely they won’t get much use because you didn’t really love them to begin with, and that’s just so sad right? To fight this, I’ve started practicing waiting a few days before checking out to make sure the item is still on my mind, and it works!
When you decide to make a purchase, it should be because you have a special place for the item in your life, and it makes you happy. The art prints featured above fit into our gallery wall exactly as I had envisioned, and you can’t beat that price. I had been looking into signet rings for weeks before deciding on the Sarah Chloe one, and because it’s personalized with my initials it feels extra special. I always hate looking back on purchases I regret, so it’s nice to remember the ones that are lasting.
What are some lasting purchases you have made?
THE TOP: Brandy Melville Sofia Tank $28
This top is amazing – do yourself a favor and purchase! I wore this outfit to a sunny brunch on Saturday and it was just the cutest (if I do say so myself…). I paired it with this Zara skirt, but any high-waisted skirt will do. Enjoy!
J Brand Jeans ($218) vs. AE Jeggings ($50)
I just LOVE myself a good pair of J Brand jeans and have been stalking this pair for months waiting for a sale, to no avail. I just can’t bring myself to spend $200+ on trendy jeans with holes in them. Luckily, these American Eagle jeans are AMAZING and super comfortable, for only $50! They come in a ton of washes / styles, and at this price I feel completely comfortable attacking them with scissors myself if I want a more distressed look. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

L’Amour Dish / Candle / Cake Knife / Cake Server / Vase 1 / Vase 2
Anthropologie’s House & Home selection is beautifully curated, full of items for any budget, and one of my favorite places to find special gifts for any occasion. I think the gifts that mean the most are those that are given “just because,” don’t you? These super affordable pieces will show any loved one how much you appreciate them and add some charm to their home (or are totally acceptable to gift yourself).

Does it get any better??? I recently purchased the Holes + Anchor Tee during the Shopbop 25% off sale, and it is SO SOFT. I could live in it. I typically try not to spend money on distressed clothing, but I just couldn’t pass up the perfect baby pink, anchor pocket, and the ‘I could just cuddle you all day’ fabric. I have such an affinity to all things nautical and this brand has been speaking to me. Next on my list is the Striped Weekend Tee. Do you love it??
There are two items I just cannot pass up, regardless of the season: striped shirts and white dresses. Zara’s Spring 15 collection has an AMAZING collection of white dresses for every budget. These styles range from flirty to edgy, casual to dressy – there is something for everyone and the outfit options are endless. I’ll definitely be ordering this little number. Since white always looks better with a tan, I’m hoping the sun stays out this weekend. Happy shopping!

I ordered this dress in Aqua for a recent Hawaii trip, and it was a HIT. The fabric is so light and drapes perfectly to your body. While I love the idea of “dressing for yourself,” having every one out of three women you pass compliment your dress does wonders for confidence. Wear it as a cover up to the beach, pair with slides on the boardwalk, or sandal heels for a dinner date – next time I’m in warmer temps I’ll be throwing this on.
Chanel Aldo (on sale!) Sam Edelman
On a recent Nordstroms Rack trip for some leggings, I ended up walking out with three pairs of shoes I didn’t know I needed (hey – budgeting is tough), including these Aldo leather espadrilles. For just $50 they are a steal you don’t have to feel guilty about. The Sam Edelman pair are equally comfortable and cute for just $30 more. Go get them!
