Six Clicks – Week of June 15

Six Clicks 6/16/15

1. Love this home tour of a San Francisco, Pacific Heights apartment. Great inspiration for renters.

2. Perfect summer hat for only $15.

3. Happy to jump on the suede trend with this adorable light blue top.

4. Remember this post where I obsessed over Gray Malin’s amazing jet-setting photography? He just put out a line of fun beach towels with his photos.

5. This barn in the English countryside was converted into the most charming guest cottage. Click the links to see the beautiful interior, full of bookshelves and heirlooms. I can’t stop daydreaming of a weekend away here. {original UK House and Garden post here}

6. This hydration mask is SO AMAZING I almost wanted to give it its own post. You know how your skin looks and feels when you’re well-rested, have a great work out, do some yoga and meditation, and drink lots of water? That’s what this does. I’ve been using it a few times a week and can see major changes – it makes my skin glow, feel so soft and hydrated, and diminishes fine lines. You can pick it up at Target or Ulta for only $15, which is just insane.

Six Clicks – Week of June 8

Daily Joys
  1. On the tippity top of my wishlist, this marble cheese dome will be great for displaying both cheeses and baked goods.
  2. I purchased this dress during a 40% off sale last week and it is the most comfortable and flattering thing ever. Ruching perfection.
  3. Beautiful little article on pursuing the small, happy life.
  4. Blueberries are everywhere, which is so wonderful. I had extras last week and made this blueberry lemon muffin cake. It is absolutely delicious, and so so easy to make. I look forward to adding strawberries next time (and maybe chocolate chips the next…).
  5. Love this print; playing on the French phrase that celebrates the joy of life.
  6. Perfect for your next picnic – not only cute, this S’well bottle will keep a beverage cold for 24 hours or hot for 12.

Don’t you notice that every time you are gift shopping you find so many great things for yourself too? I’ve rounded up a few affordable gift options, with a guarantee that someone in your life would love each one (even if that someone is you!).

Gray Milan

Gray Milan

Gray Milan’s photography is just the best, isn’t it? I’ve been gushing over his work for months wishing I could have it on every wall of my home and office – being instantly transported on some great adventure every time I look at it. Unfortunately, starting at around $300 for an 11×17 print, this dream isn’t attainable. Which is why I was SO excited when I saw Gray Milan’s Lisbon Umbrella photo plastered on a Sperry shoe! These are too perfect for any beach / vacation / boating experience, and at just $70 I can pretend I’m a jet-setting art collector with the rest of them. Sperry Shoes / IPhone Cases

Lasting Purchases

Lasting Purchase

Peony Study Print $20 / Seascape Print $20 / Signet Ring $108

I have been guilty of emotional shopping. That sounds like I’m introducing myself at a support group, but it really can be a problem! When you buy items just because you’re bored or they are on sale, it’s likely they won’t get much use because you didn’t really love them to begin with, and that’s just so sad right? To fight this, I’ve started practicing waiting a few days before checking out to make sure the item is still on my mind, and it works!

When you decide to make a purchase, it should be because you have a special place for the item in your life, and it makes you happy. The art prints featured above fit into our gallery wall exactly as I had envisioned, and you can’t beat that price. I had been looking into signet rings for weeks before deciding on the Sarah Chloe one, and because it’s personalized with my initials it feels extra special. I always hate looking back on purchases I regret, so it’s nice to remember the ones that are lasting.

What are some lasting purchases you have made?
